OUR RESEARCH
The Szeri lab focuses on understanding the complex molecular mechanisms of ectopic mineralization in rare hereditary disorders and multifactorial diseases.
Besides unraveling physiological processes leading to or inhibiting the calcification of soft tissues, we seek therapeutic approaches to prevent, alleviate, or resolve ectopic mineralization.
